A Benton Bedtime Story

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

A Benton Bedtime Story Once upon a time there was a Dark brown car-drivin’ entrepreneur named Frank Mizelle (that’s me) who lived in Bishop, CA. Frank’s father has had heart problems since he was relatively young and isn’t an example of heart-healthy eating. Frank’s mother, who lives in Bishop, suffers from emphysema due to smoking. Frank plans to be around to spoil grandchildren in twenty years, so is trying hard to break the chain of parents’ poor examples when it comes to health.

Frank eats a healthy diet, sweats regularly at a gym in Mammoth Lakes and can often be found doing the downward dog at a Dyer yoga studio. Frank has a strong immune system and, fortunately, hardly ever gets sick. (Don’t discount the obsessive hand-washing.) And in case you were wondering, Frank doesn’t touch cigarettes.

This all sounds good so far, right? Here is the problem. In spite of diligence, Frank often feels less-than-normal. Why? Insomnia. Not occasional sleeplessness, Frank goes weeks with wide awake sleep time. Our poor insomniac has watched all the old movies that play on TCM–several times each!

If you suffer from insomnia, you know that it doesn’t matter if you have a heart rate of 20, a bloodstream free of cholesterol and can run a four-minute mile–you still feel lousy!

A friend in Benton challenged me to compare some good sleep aids to find one that works for me. I start tonight with 7Hour Slumber. I did some extensive research and found only positive feedback about this all natural sleep remedy. I will use it for a week and then try Melotrex to see which one is the most effective for chronic sleeplessness. Check back soon for the end of the story.

I hope to live (and sleep) happily ever after.

Melotrex for Restful Sleep in Bishop

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Melotrex for Restful Sleep in Bishop Do you feel like napping all the time? CA sleep doctors advise their Bishop patients to refrain from naps during the day. After a few days without napping, insomnia patients can often sleep through the night.

I am a former insomniac and live in Bishop. I started using Melotrex to help me fall asleep. I have compared other sleep aids sold in Dyer and Mammoth Lakes. Some of them made it possible for me to sleep through the night, but I could never fully wake up during the day.

I have a Bishop sales job which requires constant travel around CA. Before I started using Melotrex, I would often pull my Dark brown utility truck over at a rest area and take a quick ‘power nap’. If only those naps had made me feel more ‘powerful’ when I woke up!

What good is a sleep aid that makes you feel just as tired during the day as if you hadn’t slept a wink the night before? Melotrex is an all-natural insomnia treatment that helps you at night and during the day. At night, you fall into a deep, restful sleep. In the morning, you wake up with a clear head. That is the magic combination when it comes to Bishop sleep aids.

Other effective holistic sleep aids similar to Melotrex are 7Hour Slumber and Sleep2Night. Don’t waste your days napping, try Melotrex, 7Hour Slumber or Sleep2Night. When you sleep at night, you don’t need to nap during the day.

See ya later

Sleepless Nights in Bishop?

Friday, December 18th, 2009

Sleepless Nights in Bishop? Welcome to Frank’s Bishop sleep blog. Maybe it can provide some light reading for your sleepless nights if you are troubled by sleep problems. I am pretty tired (no pun intended) of not getting enough sleep. I plan to try some new Bishop sleep aids to see if they really work. I will give you updates here on my blog.

This week, I will use Melotrex and see what happens. I ordered Melotrex on http://www.bestsleepaids.net. I didn’t even need to leave my Bishop house to pick it up at a Bishop drugstore. Melotrex is relatively new but has been receiving some favorable reviews from long-time Mammoth Lakes insomniacs and Mammoth Lakes holistic health professionals.

In addition to reporting on my Bishop sleep aid results, I also plan to include some interesting facts about sleep in my Bishop insomnia blog. For example, did you know that people who regularly sleep less than five hours at night have roughly a 40 percent higher rate of heart problems (including heart attacks) than people who are able to consistently get eight hours of sleep? I have a few other risk factors for heart disease, so my chronic insomnia is even more troubling.

Here is another interesting but non-worrisome sleep factoid from the animal kingdom: Dolphins sleep while swimming using one half of their brain at a time.

I wish one half of my brain could man the controls while the other half curls up on the couch. Come to think about it, it is possible that only half of my brain is currently working. Perhaps Melotrex will help get the other half in gear.

Check back soon.

Good Sleep, Good Health in California

Good Sleep, Good Health in California Bonjour

A few months ago, I read an interesting insomnia finding. Bishop sleep researchers observed that sleep-deprived test subjects in a recent clinical trial got used to feeling tired. At first, study participants noticed that sleep deprivation affected their energy, cognitive abilities and mental health. However, after a few days of not sleeping, their tired state began to feel normal for them.

I suffer from insomnia and live in Bishop. My name is Frank Mizelle. I have spent a lot of time studying sleep, well actually, lack of sleep. After reading about the study mentioned previously, I realized that my “tired” state had become my new “normal”. I talked to several of my Bishop friends and co-workers. I discovered that many of those that reported having trouble sleeping did not make a connection between their insomnia and various health issues.

For example, one Mammoth Lakes insomniac who is an elementary school teacher told me that she often had trouble concentrating while talking to her students. A Benton man who works in my office catches every sickness going around and it seems to take him an unusually long time to get better.

Actually, many health problems can be caused by lack of sleep. Prolonged insomnia should never be ignored.

If you can’t sleep, I recommend Melotrex. Melotrex has helped me tremendously. As my sleep has improved, my health has improved also. You can learn more about Melotrex at http://www.bestsleepaids.net.

Don’t let ‘tired’ become ‘normal’. Use Melotrex for good sleep and good health

Sleep Deprived in Bishop?

Friday, December 4th, 2009

Sleep Deprived in Bishop? Bonjour

Sleep deprivation is not only irritating, it can be down-right dangerous. According to the National Sleep Research Project:
INDENT:

The 1989 Exxon Valdex oil spill, the Challenger space shuttle disaster and the Chernobyl nuclear accident have all been attributed to human errors in which sleep-deprivation played a role.

I’m not an oil tanker captain, astronaut or nuclear power plant worker, but I am a sleepy Bishop parent and small business owner–and I think these jobs are just as important. I don’t want insomnia to cause me to make mistakes at my Bishop home, Dyer office or driving my kids to their Bishop school.

I have been using 7Hour Slumber and Reposanex. (See http://www.bestsleepaids.net for more information.) 7Hour Slumber helps me fall asleep faster and sleep deeper. To me, a couple of hours of deep sleep is worth more than six hours of light, restless sleep.

Reposanex works naturally to synchronize your body’s circadian rhythms. It helps you fall asleep fast because it gets into your bloodstream quickly, unlike some Bishop sleep aids that take hours to work.

I don’t know what knocked my natural sleep cycle out of whack. Maybe it was cramming (partying?) all night during my University of California college days. It could have been the two years I worked graveyard shifts at my first Benton job. Perhaps it was those groggy months when the children were needing assistance through the night. Whatever it was that got me into this frustrating pattern of insomnia, I am determined to get out of it. 7Hour Slumber and Reposanex are going to help me.

They can help you too.
-Frank
